Tripp's 1st Birthday!

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by since we welcomed our second baby boy into this world. This has by far been the fastest, not to mention very best, year of my life! Tripp turned the big "1" on Thursday, April 11. We celebrated at home just the four of us with presents and cake first thing in the morning. Tripp got a little kitchen and some accessories to go along with it. It's really hard to get him gifts because, well, his big brother has pretty much everything. We tried to think in terms of something that they could both play with and this little kitchen seemed like a good option. So far so good! They love playing with all the food and we love having another large kids toy in our living room! He also got a little mini slide with a basketball hoop and bat and ball attached to the sides. Tripp gravitates toward any kind of ball, especially basketballs and baseballs--he's such a jock!

Another big surprise was their new sandbox/ pirate ship! It was actually a gift that my MIL got my nephew years ago but was never assembled so they very graciously passed it on to us. The boys LOVE it and it's going to be so fun having this in our yard to play in this spring and summer.

Silly!

Not sure about his birthday hat.

Not sure about big brother blowing out his candle.

Really digging in!

He likes it!

Luke didn't get cake for breakfast but he did get a delicious cinnamon roll from the bakery!

My boys:)

Birthday blues.

Cooking up trouble!

For Tripp's party I went with The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme. I had a lot of fun decorating!
