Lukey's 5th Birthday!

It is truly unbelievable that my baby boy is turning 5 in just a couple of days. It tears me apart a little but at the same time, I love watching the smart, hilarious, kind and loving young man he is turning in to. This year's birthday party was the topic of many, many discussions and there was much anticipation leading up to the celebration. After throwing out a lot of ideas, Luke finally settled on having a Ninja Turtle party. Parker and I had fun with the theme and thanks to my dear friend Pinterest, we had a couple really fun activities for the kids. Each kid got their own turtle shell to decorate and they all had fun adding glitter, glue and more glitter. They also got to choose a weapon, either nunchucks or daggers and a turtle mask. I painted Raphael onto a cardboard box and cut a hole for his face a got pics of most of the kids looking through. We also had a pinata and did a frisbee toss into a pizza box. We were really surprised when the kids stood in line for 20 minutes taking turns tossing the frisbee. You never know what kids are going to find fun I suppose! We also had a bouncy obstacle course that the kids absolutely loved! We figured turning 5 is a pretty momentous occasion and we wanted to celebrate accordingly. He got a lot of great gifts too, mostly weapons, which as a 5-year-old boy you can never have enough of, of course. Happy birthday Lukey! I love you with all my heart and more!
Thanks to all the great friends that made Luke's 5th birthday party such a fun day!
