Aloha Hawaii!

After the crazy year we had, Parker and I discussed going on a different type of family vacation this year. Normally we travel down to NM to visit my family and while we always have a blast, we really felt like we needed some serious family time with our boys. Since the fire, Parker has worked literally every day building the new maintenance shop, his dad's home in Chelan, the new pro shop and is still dealing with insurance in regards to the golf course. We usually get him all to ourselves from November to about March, but that just isn't the way this year has panned out and that's just the way it has to be. Tired of the grey, grey, grey, ice, ice, ice and snow, snow, snow, we decided some warm weather was in order and decided on Hawaii. We booked our vacation through Costco, which I highly recommend, and three weeks later were jetting off to paradise with our two little keikis. We filled every day with different adventures but always made time for trips to the beach. Playing in the ocean and sand really was the boys' favorite part. We arrived on Monday and Tuesday we headed out to Sea Life Park where we had fun checking out the animals and Luke got to check a big one off his bucket list: he swam with and petted a dolphin! We also visited the Dole Plantation which was beautiful, immaculate and really fun! We are exhausted but still riding the high of a week of fun with each other. We decided to head home when we arrived in Seattle at 10pm last night, pulled into our driveway at 2:30am and finally nodded off around 4am. It was a long night but waking up in our own bed (with my giant body pillow) was totally worth it. Aloha!
