Unlike everyone else in our family and much to our surprise, Liam arrived a whole two weeks early...and he has flat ears!
He arrived at 12:02pm on Wednesday, April 11. He weighed 7lb 3oz and was 20.5 inches long.
I had fully intended to have my hair done and be wearing makeup during this delivery, but when babies decide to make their way out in the middle of the night (with Luke my water broke at 1am and with Liam, my contractions we getting regular and painful by 3am), you really have to prioritize. We live over an hour away from our hospital so we left at 4am and as you will see, my hair and makeup was very much not done..oh well! Maybe next time!
Though one might imagine that we would have been prepared, I was pretty caught off guard by his early arrival. Clothes and blankets hadn't been washed and diapers had been put out, but the important thing is that Liam is here and healthy and we are absolutely in love..Praise God!
All smiles because we just found out we weren't being sent home..this is the real thing! Obviously my contractions were bearable at this moment.
Here he is, safe in his mama's arms. My precious baby boy who I waited and prayed for for so long.

Just like his big brother Luke, Liam was pretty wide-eyed and curious, taking in the outside world for the first time.

Liam lost 10 ounces after birth and seems so tiny to me, but he is healthy, eating a ton and gaining steadily.

Luke is such a great big brother. He is so sweet, curious and gentle with Liam. I know they'll be best friends.
We had lots of visitors! The Neff Family: cousins George and Cooper, Aunt Heather and Uncle Dean.

We are so incredibly grateful for all the love and support we've received. We couldn't be any happier with our two sweet, precious boys. Babies--and Families--are truly a miracle gift from God and we are so thankful to Him for these blessings.
