Yesterday we finally got to confirm what only I suspected: we are having another boy! Ultrasound day is so fun and exciting and it is such a miracle and blessing to finally get to see our beautiful little boy...even if it is only in 2D.
We had a bit of excitement early on when during our drive to the hospital (we live over an hour away), our car suddenly started shaking, a light came on that said "stabilitrak turned off" and the engine began losing power. I was about to freak out of course--nothing like this has ever happened-- an naturally, it was on the most anticipated day thus far. We pulled over and called OnStar and luckily all we had to do was turn the car off for 30 seconds then restart the engine. Crisis diverted and we made it just in the knick of time.
It seems like people thought I may be disappointed that we are having another boy. Would I like a girl? Yes, of course I'd love one. But we waited a long time for this baby and healthy is all that matters to me and us. I am so grateful to God for this miracle and happily accept His will. I just want it to be known that there is absolutely no disappointment on our part. In fact, we both agree that another boy right now is better for so many reasons. Luke is going to love having a baby brother and he now gets to grow up with his best friend. We could not ask for more!
The ultrasound tech was pretty awesome although I think she's got a foot festish! She got some great shots of the baby and I just wanted to share them.
Parker and I wanted to buy a cute little tiny baby outfit but everything right now is super-warm and Christmasy so we got this instead. I know--we have no self-control!
For those of you who want to keep up with the happenings of our family, Parker, Leigh Anne and especially Luke and Tripp!

Thanksgiving!
We hosted Thanksgiving for the first time ever this year and I really wanted my table to look pretty so I thought I'd better make some place cards with each guest's name...got this idea from Pinterest too.
Here I am in all my pregnant glory, slaving away in the kitchen before meal time. After dropping an entire dish of spinach artichoke dip upside down on my foot and placing a call to 1-800-butterball, I swear we are never hosting again!
Here's our finished dinner table. The center pieces with the candles were also a Pinterest idea. It was extremely easy and I thought it looked nice.
Here's our Thanksgiving family pic..guess this won't be going on our Christmas cards huh? Nose picking has become a sport around here, as you can see. Boys will be boys I guess!

Home Improvement/ Pinterest Interest
Thanks to my sister-in-law Tammy, I am officially obsessed with Pinterest and have been spending way too much at the craft store! But winter is the perfect time for home/ craft projects. Since it has finally slowed down enough around here, Parker and I have been able to focus some time on fixing up our 35 year old home. It is a work in progress and the biggest part (a complete room renovation that will leave us with either a play room or a nursery) is yet to come.
Some of it has been simple, like adding a vinyl wall decal and rearranging pictures on the wall.
Some has been a bit more elaborate, like fixing up the main bathroom with some paint, new decor and tile countertops to match what we have in the kitchen. I made modge podge light switch covers (Pinterest inspiration), as well as a couple of wall hangings to go with the color scheme/ style of the shower curtain. Unfortunately I forgot to take a before picture, but trust me, it is a huge improvement.
This monogram frame is another idea I got from Pinterst. I love how it turned out. I think it looks way better than the mirror!
Yet another Pinterest craft was these Modge Podge (this stuff is awesome btw) coasters. I intend to give some out as Christmas gifts. They're pretty cute, especially when they're stacked and tied with a pretty bow.
I saw these super-cute cupcake ornaments on Pinterest and then realized that they were actually for sale on Etsy...I absolutely loved them so decided to give them a try myself. Luke has a hard time keeping his hands off..he looks at them and says "yummmm..." and smacks his lips..what a funny boy!

I will post pics soon of our living room. After talking about it for three years, we finally bought a new couch and entertainment center and are just waiting on they're arrival. We also added floor-length drapes with pretty rods on our three giant windows that overlook the golf course. It is a slow, expensive process, but it is definitely worth it and we are enjoying the outcome. Tis the season everybody!

Happy Halloween!
Our little Mickey Mouse was quite the sport this Halloween..I think it was the promise of candy that kept him going in spite of his runny, sneezy nose.
Once again, we went to downtown Chelan for Trick-or-Treating. They do such a nice job each year and all the shops participate. The fire station even handed out hot chocolate along with candy and glow sticks.
We met up with Parker's sister and her family so Luke could T or T with his cousins, the blue moster (Cooper) and Optimus Prime (George). It was really cold outside but we had a great time.
Parker and I also enjoyed raiding Luke's treat bag once he was in bed. Hope everyone had a great Halloween:)
